A brief summary activities done by us in four iterations between December 2015 and Jan 2017 is provided below, before you walk through this blog.

• Iteration 4: School Reconstruction, Feb 2016 to June 2017

  Reconstruction of two schools. A government aided middle school in Vadalur and a government school in Nanjalur. Details here. First school reconstruction complete. Second school is also complete.

Do we have permission from the concerned government authorities to carry out the reconstruction work?

Yes. We work in close coordination with government departments. We take their written permission, whenever necessary. We have a written permission for rebuilding the school in Nanjalur.

What have we done so far?

· Reconstructed a school from scatch in Nanjaloore, Cuddalore district. Reconstruction work was completed in June 2016. 
· Reconstructed a school in Vadaloor, Cuddalore district. Reconstruction work was completed in April 2016. 

· Distributed food during times of flood to over 7500 people, in two iterations.

· Distributed blankets in some of the flood affected localities.

How can corporates / organizations/ individuals help in our cause?

· Contribute by helping us purchase of construction material or provide construction material, or make financial contributions to our cause.

· Provide volunteers to help coordinate and carry out the school reconstruction task.

Are we an NGO?

No. We are not. We are private individuals. Many/ most of us have contributed monetarily to this cause. Some of us have also directly participated in the activities carried out so far.

How can one contribute monetarily to this cause?

Through one single bank account, through electronic money transfer.

How are the funds spent?

Expenses are made through consultation with the entire group. A  WhatsApp group has been put together for this purpose.
